Web based printer install , how to ensure that printer connection is RPC not IPP

windows 7 x64 machines can connect  a 2008 print server , install driver printer printers web page , properties of printer state 

printer ... on http://servername. how can determine protocol use rpc or ipp. settings on client medium-low intranet.  

can rpc set default protocol on ipp?

the client computer downloads printer drivers , connects printer using either internet printing protocol (ipp) or remote procedure call (rpc), depending on security zone printer share in. security zone configured on client computer through internet options in control panel. medium-high or medium security zone, ipp used, , medium-low security zone, rpc used.
