Public Domain/DNS & Exchange Server
we have domain controller named pksaa.com local dns server , exchange server 2010.
user use email inside organization.
we want make domain public user can send/receive emails to/from outside world.
and need host pksaa.com on www.
please let me know:
1- how make public dns, how host web , how register pksaa.com domain
2- how email mailboxes users e.g. user@pksaa.com
that's lot of questions, have more exchange directory services (not mention web hosting).
i'll try provide information on exchange.
first, domain pksaa.com registered? can buy right use domain name publically registering internet "registrar". godaddy 1 i've used (for practice networks) , has advantage of being less expensive:
of course, there network solutions (and others matter):
http://www.networksolutions.com/domain-name-registration/index.jsp
second, , once have registered domain name (and if not taken), can adjust dns records (a, mx , ptr records) incoming mail , users accessing mail can find server.
directions may vary (most likely) in web interface provided godaddy or network solutions (etc.). you'll see isp ptr record.
third, you'll have adjust firewall rules , (probably) nat configuration email traffic , access can take place.
of course, none of without configured exchange server. there not enough time or space here outline that. either buy book on subject, watch training videos (train signal example) or hire exchange consultant.
is exchange installed on domain controller? that's not best practice - best avoid.
please mark helpful if find contribution useful or answer if answer question. encourage me - , others - take time out you.
