hi,

to determine whether gpo applied, should run gpresult/z or rsop.msc on client computer user logged on. in general, should keep in mind following tips when set policies objects in ou:

1.    the gpo should linked right ou.

2.    those object want apply policy configured in gpo should resided in ou.

3.    computer settings apply computer, user settings apply user. if there computer settings, should put computer in ou gpo linked.

4.    in security filtering, authenticated users in default, way object in ou apply gpo. remove authenticated users , add object in apply gpo. apply gpo, please make sure windows 2008 server have read , apply group policy right gpo. in delegation tab of gpo, click advanced, set , check permission.

5.    on client run group policy results collect information whether gpo applied windows 2008.

hope helps.

best regards,

yan li
