how do you properly backup a DFSR partition?
windows server 2008 r2
i have drive dfsr implemented. have made sure server rebooted (to kick off users lazy close files) , lanman services stopped (to prevent shares being opened during backup window). still file open errors during backup (using netbackup). have made sure backing not drive shadow copy components (as prescribed veritas). having checked veritas said files being backup errors have check microsoft it's vss or error.
is there missing have proper backup of dfsr volume?

based on research, the error code seems produced veritas, , seems there may limits between 3rd party software , microsoft.
