Unable to extend disk in Windows Server 2008

i have virtual file server sitting on hyperv. file server ran out of space , host machine had disk space available. shutdown file server , edited virtual disk extend 50gb. when boot file server , login, see unallocated space listed in disk management, not let me extend it. when go extend wizard, wizard not show space that's available. left column blank , on right column shows it's current size.

it's if wizard not able see unallocated space reason.

any ideas?

i not see issue...

you should able extend volume without problem

as last screen shot says, maximum available space in mb: 57344.

right click on e drive, extended partition, follow wizard clicking next.
