User experience on RDWeb (multiple login prompts, username format etc)

hi,

i've been testing rds view using provide remote working facilities staff , far have following set up...

- 1 x rd session host
- 1 x rd web access
- 1 x rd gateway

for sake of testing i've put roles onto 1 box. having lot of issues remoteapp not working sso via various links sorted out certificates , replaced faulty javascript file pretty root cause of issues. have seems working setup still have issues user logon experience , wanted check if there's way solve them...

1) username format
when logging in have provide login domain\username, different how staff used logging in e.g. via owa, have made modification login page automatically adds domain i'd prefer append in background rather causing possible confusion

2) activex control
on pcs i've had issues activex control not working , having enable manually (mainly on xp), not sure if i've been unlucky machines i've tried or if it's common issue can occur?

3) rdc 7.0 update
being home access service can't guarantee os users have; under 7 rds behaves pretty due rds 7.0 being built in on xp spurious errors , multiple login prompts occur unless following 2 updates installed...

rdc 7.0 client http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=20609
credssp enabled http://support.microsoft.com/kb/951608

the credssp fixit requires reboot , unless can bundle 2 updates more friendly method isn't easiest thing non-tech users do. without parts of sso won't work (or gateway won't connect first time , users give up!)

4) remoteapp prompts
of issues here 1 causes least trouble nice make disappear. when launching remoteapp warning box pop up, in case it's grey bar apps ssl signed. know can remove gpo hash of certificate being home users on personal machines isn't appropriate solution! looks setting default option private computer (which think can editing login page) sort out?

5) rds session double credential prompt
major part of access solution getting full blown rds session work directly on files (i.e. not download home machine) again if want load rdweb screen there's credential prompt needs entered in domain\username style. seems there's no way around on xp , requires hotfix on 7 (which made remoteapp sessions randomly crash on machine).

if there's no easy way suppress prompt there @ least way of setting domain in background users can enter standard username?

i'm hoping i've missed obvious on @ least 1 of issues , there's simple solution issues otherwise i'm concerned @ number of places people can tripped up. if there isn't solution these issues there way of providing remote access in smoother fashion or need @ product simplicity of single login click , play?

thanks reading this, info appreciated :)
