32 bit drivers on 64 bit Print server

hi all,

my appologies...i know has been discussed before.

i have 64 bit w2k8 server print services on it. want install 32 bit xp drivers on print server install printers using gpos.  i'm getting erroes installing 32 bits drivers , yet wizard seems lets choose install 32bit or 64 bit drivers.

i've read through many threads various forums, many saying install drivers from  xp machine using \\printserver\printers , fax clicking file, server properties ,  install 32 bit driver. plus seem 32 bit driver name must identical 64 bit driver or else wont work.

is way this? there better way this?  people have mentionned use universal drivers (ex: hp) because don't need handle 32/64 bit ____.  can elaborate on this?

thanks,
jesmat.
