RPC marked for deletion

hi

i have w2k3 server running print server. rpc service has become disabled , marked deletion. think has been caused virus. know how rpc service running again - cannot normal "start service" methods says "rpc marked deletion".

please try perform clean boot , see whether can start rpc service. please follow steps below perform clean boot. clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

 

1. click start, type msconfig in start search box, , press enter. if prompted administrator password or confirmation, type password, or click continue.

1. on general tab, click selective startup.

1.  under selective startup, click clear load startup items check box.

1.  click services tab, click select hide microsoft services check box, , click disable all.

1.  click ok.

1.  when prompted, click restart.

1.  after computer starts, start installation of features , check whether problem resolved.

 

please also disable anti-virus software in case of failures.

 

after have finished troubleshooting, follow these steps reset computer start usual:

 

1. click start , type msconfig.exe in the start search box, , press enter.

if prompted administrator password or confirmation, type password, or click continue.

1. on general tab, click normal startup option, , click ok.

1. when prompted restart computer, click restart.

 

if clean boot won’t fix problem, might try startup repair of windows server 2003 replace corrupt files.
