i'm having tough time creating gpo ie9 compatibility view. have server 2008 r2 domain controller, forest , domain function level windows server 2008. i'm trying apply policy on windows 7 ie9 installed. steps performed: ie9 installed on domain controller , downloaded , installed the  admx templates server 2008 r2  and copied c:\windows\policydefinitions central store. have installed kb2530309 dc. still can't ie9 compatibility view settings work. missing something? edit: don't see ie 9 settings in gp editor , if use "use policy list of internet explorer 7 sites"; doesn't work. in settings of says "supported on: least internet explorer 8.0". hi, before going further, we’d better confirm current issue first. mentioned have moved administrative templates files central store, have checked if it’s right location @ below file path: \\domain.name\sysvol\domain.name\policies\policydefinitions? regarding how create central store ...

greetings, installed windows server essentials server , added 5 client machines without problem. subsequent attempts add machines result in error. hello, i'm delete empty site active directory sites , settings. have removed server object of demoted domain controller under servers node. servers node empty when viewed mmc , adsiedit. there's no subnets assigned site. adss shows site contains following objects: - servers node (empty) - licensing site settings object - ntds site settings object when attempt delete site adss following windows pops up: confirm subtree deletion. object site1 contains other objects. sure want delete object site1 , of objects contains? there's check box "use delete subtree server control. don't know should check anymore. should check "use delete subtree server control" before hitting yes? safe delete site? why window coming? thank already! you can confirm 'yes' dialog prompt if sure said site empty, has no other dcs , not other subnets associated it.  my guess it's shared printer attached dc.  in adu&c, click view ...

hello, i'm trying install windows service on windows 2003 r2 x64 sp2.  to install service run app.exe -install from command prompt, error "application has failed start because msvcr100.dll not found".  i did searching , of responses suggest installing ms vc++ redistributable, have 2008, 2010 , 2012 installed on server.  the file located under c:\windows\system32. i ran procmon , appears file searched ( operation=queryopen ) @ these locations c:\windows\syswow64 c:\windows\system c:\windows c:\windows\syswow64 c:\windows\syswow64\windowspowershell\v1.0\ but file doesn't exist in locations either. can please provide information why file isn't loaded c:\windows\system32 folder?   it may developed 32 bit. can more on here. https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/vstudio/en-us/home?forum=vcgeneral&filter=alltypes&sort=lastpostdesc       regards, dave patrick .... micros...
