hi,   i have 2 network adapters in server 2003 system.  both plugged same network switch plugged wireless gateway(also default gateway).  first network card configured virtualbox bridged adapter , not have ip address.  second card set use static address , default gateway.  error when trying set network connection warning- multiple default gateways intended provide redundancy single network(such intranet or internet). they not function when gateways on 2 separate, disjoint networks (such 1 on intranet , 1 on internet). do want save configuration? yes or no have 1 of network adapters having ip address , default gateway address wireless gateway mentioned earlier.  don't notice many things not working, comodo internet security not updateing used , think might due error.   can give input on this?   also if need more information, please ask!   thank you, allen vader95 can check dhcp ip address assign when put d...

hi, i using emc isilon (nas - smb 2.1) both os windows 2008r2 , 2012r2. when file being written shared drive 2008r2 , needs read it, 2008r2 hangs ~60 seconds until can readable, 2012r2 practically instant. if file being written shared drive 2012r2, read of file 2008r2 , 2012r2 instant. i tried few things seen in forums everywhere: - disable oplock on windows 2008r2 or storage (performance decreased when doing so) - disable tcp offload - didn't anything. what don't understand , need in, know why 2012r2 out of box works fine , 2008r2 has issues , can improve 2008r2? i need continue supporting clients own 2008r2, suggestions , appreciated. thanks. hi, try disable a/v , firewall software on server if any, boot server in safe mode check if issue still exists. you can use "process monitor" see causes file open slowly. the case of slow project file opens http://blogs.technet.com/b/markrussinovich/archive/2010/12/07/3373406.aspx regards, ma...

hi guys, i trying to create vm of win 2008 standard 64-bit in hyper-v, seems ok after installation the new vm does not boot , no error message, hanging there, key pressed got no response. there step missed or wrong there. hint or link appreciated. in advance. allan did make sure installing "64 bit, standard, without hyper-v" version?   make sure not installing 'ia64' version, 'itanium' (intel architecture 64)  type processors not 32 bit backwards compatible , won't work under hyper-v   --chuck Windows Server  >  Hyper-V
