Windows Server 2003 Dual Boot - user accounts failed

hi all, i have machine running 2 installations of windows server 2003 sp1 (dual boot). here call them windows a, , b. i have got both windows' installed , bootable. i started windows b , moved pagefile of windows b off of boot-a partitition (windows boot partition) partition boots (boot-b), each installation separated other. i went disk management , removed drive mappings of drives not associated windows b, when operating in windows b none of windows partitions visible. when removing boot-a (c:) partition message popped stating drive in use. chose continue remove drive anyway. after there boot-b (e:), , data-b (f:). after rebooted system windows b. @ login screen chose admin account, type password, , ok. the loading windows screen waited long time @ "loading personal settings".... then, without loading account, login dialog swithched "saving settings" , returned login screen! now none of user acounts can logged windows b (all behave above)! so ques...

Windows 2012 Remoteapp won't start

hi there, have pretty simply environment. 1 dc on physical server , ts on hyper-v. believe configured correctly third party certification installed.  now problem remoteapp working users, , sometime not. can see remoteapp windows poping up, after few seconds disappears nothing running.  i've found similar case on ms forum, it's on windows 2008, , solution doesn't contain valid download file.    this happen internal or external lan ? if happen your internal go remote app manager , check on specific app user assignment (for test change authenticated domain user) and see if have problem. check internal connectivity st  if wan check connectivity site or properties of your rd gateway if use it  Windows Server  >  Windows Server 2012 ...

Scheduled Task to Shutdown computers

i trying schedule shutdown task on windows 7 clients on domain using a group policy preference. have scheduled shutdown.exe /s /f, , working fine, except can work when set task run domain admin account. can tell me groups/users can use run task work? when use %logondomain%\%logonuser% the shutdown doesnt happen and the task said ran shutdown.exe has exit code of 1. i rather not use domain admin account if dont have to. thanks! those different rights: shutdown system allows local shutdown , force shutdown remote system allows remote shutdown (reference:  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb457125.aspx ). don't have grant both.   thanks, guy Windows Server  >  Group Policy ...

VM periodically fails with NMI Hardware Failure

i have simple server 2016 standard running hyper-v.  no raid, 2 disk, core i7 16gb memory. virtual machines windows 10 professional v1607 installed gen2 (uefi). a couple of weeks ago, win10pro uefi vms randomly blue screen nmi hardware failure.  there nothing in server logs , nothing i've been able dig far vm.  might bs in 5 minutes or 5 hours or 5 days.  happened on vm of clean install. i thought might host hardware, cpu or memory, so i moved vm physical server but the problem came it; periodically. then stopped happening on both servers 5 days; today happened 4 times in 30 minutes on vm building up.  checkpoints win! all vms worked on in audit mode. help? i've been using these boxes 4 years now.  server 2008 (core , gui), 2012 , 2016. exactly reason why should follow leo's suggestion check whether or not hardware supported on windows server 2016.  quite common system vendor not support older systems on latest releas...
