hello everyone, after downloading 10666 (or whatever last 1 was) downloaded 10240 build, far i've had nothing bad luck it. download , install went great microsoft edge off laptop, it's running slow (compared 10666 piece of heaven ran smooth). i'm having use internet explorer 11 (thank god still installed). is there fix in progress? known issue? thanks. well, according ms, not known issue. in fact, ms said " microsoft edge blazing fast!" ....... source i have 10240 installed. microsoft edge runs pretty fast in system. perhaps issue confined computer ? may suggest running troubleshooting routines such disk cleanup in case running low in disk space; system file check ( sfc /scannow ) corrupt files ; system image cleanup restore health (dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth ). hi everyone, i have question server connection. i haver 2 servers in office: one windows server 2008 r2 standar (this 1 domain , every user in office star sesion here) oher windows server 2007 enterprise (here have full storage users data, controlling acces trought user session different folders) the question how can grantt access fist server second, , control access each user loged on first server access folders second server. thanks lot everything. (sorry bad english) as mentioned above, join second server domain , share folders domain group or domain users specifically. users access these folders , manage access changing permission give administrators group full control permission on shared folders. and if ask because cannot join second server domain, have share folders local accounts on second servers (create local accounts first), , share these accounts domain users. use local account access these folders --- take time , not safe or convenience. techne...

hi running windows 2003 domain , few of client machines have windows 7 installed. on recent rebuild , given non-admin user, clock in notification area missing. have locked down usability of control panel (gpo) so can't go settings , turn on themselves. have had quick in group policy , thing find under user config > admin templates > start menu & taskbar > remove clock system notification area. set disabled yet user still cannot see clock. apart temporarily disabling control panel lock down, there way can clock on? if log onto machine admin account, there!! cheers - ded you can't dangle bogus carrot of possible reconciliation in front of me whilst riding other donkey hi ded, one option use group policy preference , set registry fix this. there regkey can this. however, key sets other options, need check out correct value. see following links more information on this. http://www.dabcc.com/article.aspx?id=9724 http://social.technet.microsoft.com/foru...

hi everyone we run fs cluster on 2008, have built new cluster on 2008 r2 due disk loss connectivity issues (strange anomaly) anyways here questions 1. possible un-present current disks of (old) cluster , present (new) cluster 2. retain current security & folder permissions? 3. if not there way set new clusters disks retain permissions & security settings of old cluser i've installed , tested file server migration toolkit works wonderfully did not retain permissions of original folder tried copy is there specific setting perhaps missed? it's large amount of user data\ corporate shares , have permissions on again tedious any or advise on how go doing appreciated thanks   rttadmin           this general forum , question fit better in high availability forum here. sorry pointing other place, may wait long here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-us/winserverclustering/threads regards milos ...
