File Server Cluster Migration

hi everyone

we run fs cluster on 2008, have built new cluster on 2008 r2 due disk loss connectivity issues (strange anomaly) anyways here questions

1. possible un-present current disks of (old) cluster , present (new) cluster

2. retain current security & folder permissions?

3. if not there way set new clusters disks retain permissions & security settings of old cluser

i've installed , tested file server migration toolkit works wonderfully did not retain permissions of original folder tried copy

is there specific setting perhaps missed?

it's large amount of user data\ corporate shares , have permissions on again tedious

any or advise on how go doing appreciated
