Outlook hanging in TS sessions - need help interpreting ProcMon findings "FSCTL_OPLOCK_BREAK_NOTIFY"

i have 2 ts servers (windows 2008 [not r2]) outlook 2007. on regular basis users not able log outlook. ts servers have on average 10 users per server logged in. when start outlook , put in credentials, outlook hang. resolve , user able run outlook later on.

i've been trying capture useful information procmon. i've found when outlook hangs these 2 of last entries in proc mon:

date & time:	2/15/2012 11:05:06 event class:	file system operation:	querystandardinformationfile result:	not implemented path:	\device\rdpdr\tsclient\scard\34 tid:	14744 duration:	0.0000349 date & time:	2/15/2012 11:05:06 event class:	file system operation:	deviceiocontrol result: path:	\device\rdpdr\tsclient\scard\34 tid:	14744 duration: control:	fsctl_oplock_break_notify

however, when outlook succeeds see this:

date & time:	2/15/2012 10:56:58 event class:	file system operation:	createfile result:	success path:	\device\rdpdr\tsclient\scard\18 tid:	11468 duration:	0.0001049 desired access:	generic read/write disposition:	supersede options: attributes:	n/a sharemode:	read, write allocationsize:	0 openresult:	superseded date & time:	2/15/2012 10:56:58 event class:	file system operation:	querystandardinformationfile result:	not implemented path:	\device\rdpdr\tsclient\scard\18 tid:	11468 duration:	0.0000163 date & time:	2/15/2012 10:56:58 event class:	file system operation:	deviceiocontrol result:	fast io disallowed path:	\device\rdpdr\tsclient\scard\18 tid:	11468 duration:	0.0000032 control:	fsctl_oplock_break_notify date & time:	2/15/2012 10:56:58 event class:	file system operation:	deviceiocontrol result:	success path:	\device\rdpdr\tsclient\scard\18 tid:	11468 duration:	0.0040900 control:	fsctl_oplock_break_notify date & time:	2/15/2012 10:56:58 event class:	file system operation:	deviceiocontrol result:	fast io disallowed path:	\device\rdpdr\tsclient\scard\18 tid:	11468 duration:	0.0000029 control:	fsctl_request_oplock_level_2 date & time:	2/15/2012 10:56:58 event class:	file system operation:	deviceiocontrol result:	success path:	\device\rdpdr\tsclient\scard\18 tid:	11468 duration:	0.0000056 control:	fsctl_request_oplock_level_2 date & time:	2/15/2012 10:56:58 event class:	file system operation:	deviceiocontrol result:	fast io disallowed path:	\device\rdpdr\tsclient\scard\18 tid:	14204 duration:	0.0000084 control:	0x900e0 (device:0x9 function:56 method: 0) date & time:	2/15/2012 10:56:58 event class:	file system operation:	deviceiocontrol result: path:	\device\rdpdr\tsclient\scard\18 tid:	14204 duration: control:	0x900e0 (device:0x9 function:56 method: 0) date & time:	2/15/2012 10:58:13 event class:	file system operation:	deviceiocontrol result:	fast io disallowed path:	\device\rdpdr\tsclient\scard\18 tid:	12340 duration:	0.0000036 control:	fsctl_oplock_break_notify date & time:	2/15/2012 10:58:13 event class:	file system operation:	deviceiocontrol result:	success path:	\device\rdpdr\tsclient\scard\18 tid:	12340 duration:	0.0038273 control:	fsctl_oplock_break_notify

i'm not sure happening or how identify problem. can me interpret these findings?

there nothing in event viewer orther typical apphang message when close outlook.

hi,

does the problem occur if start outlook in safe mode?

are using smart cards in environment?  if disable smart card redirection in remote desktop client (local resources tab, more...), problem still occur?

outlook can hang if there problem connection exchange server and/or if not receiving response request.
