File type icons missing from SSE 2008 Express results

hello

yesterday upgraded adobe reader v11 and made sure installation of search server express, installed on windows 2003 r2 standard edition server configured index contents of pdf files.

i followed instructions set out in article:

after doing performed search, worked fine, icons associated each file type missing search results:

i have rebooted server , have run repair on sse 2008 express installation , rebooted again icons still missing.

can assist me restoring icons, please?
