would discuss scenarios new single domain vs adding subdomain existing one.

situation:

current windows 2008 r2 : migrating windows 2012

client has company.com primary domain, keep domain add second 1 internal services , leave company.com publish internet related services. eg: int.company.com , keep company.com external services.

or

leave company.com , create second 1 called company.int , create necessary trust between them would this better?

considering have migrate around 2000 objects best approach?

in broad strokes can shed light on how done, don’t need details simple 5 points if possible rest can figure out myself.

considering the scenario mentioned above, in perception, introducing child domain feasible option rather creating separate forest , then establishing a trust relationship.

you can use admt migrate objects root child domain. 

migration steps involve, migrating users, groups, computer objects etc...
